A SMALL CINEMA is an ongoing project exploring what cinema used to be, and what form it might take in the future, through research, events, experiments, film-making and community dialogues. St Helens Small Cinema

The St Helens Small Cinema project is supporting community screenings in St Helens, helping venues and organisations to host a programme of films, including the Central Library. Following some initial screenings in 2015 across multiple venues, the project is now working to develop a longer-term programme with both young and old members of the community, with the aim of making cinema affordable, accessible and fun.

Liverpool Small Cinema

The Liverpool Small Cinema  is a new community screening space in Liverpool City Centre launched in March 2015. It will host an initial programme of screenings, developed in partnership with local film programmers and writers including Liverpool Radical Film Fest, the Food For Real Film Fest, Elsewhere Cinema, Think Cinema, and Celluloid Wickerman.

Moston Small Cinema

Outline – A permanent cinema installation in Moston, North Manchester, developed through community research, film commissions and a festival.
